Choice of femoral stem in hip arthroplasty is increasingly important as the incidence of post-operative periprosthetic fractures (POPFF) continues to rise. As UK and International studies indicate composite beam stems have the lowest risk of POPFF, join us as Mr Adeel Akhtar presents the outcomes of using an anatomic composite beam hip stem in a UK centre. Followed by clinical and radiographic analysis of femoral revision using a modular cementless distal fixation prosthesis with Mr Andy Ballantyne.
